I was having a hilarious moment with someone on the net.
She was talking about men and women and about being “open minded”
She kept blabbering about how men suck as well.
And that the western man is better than the local man because…
Because the western man is open minded…
Then I asked her something I knew she wouldn’t know the answer to…
“Define open minded”
She couldn’t answer.
Was about to tell her the answer but she refused to listen…
I said she had the intellect of an ape then blocked and deleted her.
Anyways…

So to you people out there…
What does being open minded mean to you?
How could you be open minded?

And also…
Are the western men better than the local men?
And why?

Well I think you're lacking in open mindedness if you speak to someone like that for having an opinion that you don't like!

It's not something you can really define as each person will set their boundaries at a different point and in different areas of their life.

But to me being open minded is being open to suggestions and the idea of trying new things and not freaking out if someone suggests something.

As for local vs Western men - who cares, men are men, some are lazy and up for things, others aren't.

Open minded= being non-judgemental
I agree with Alcoholic- men are men-the statement about western men being better than local men or vice-versa is just racist rubbish. This person must be as bright as a 2Watt globe. Smile

Hmmm ... Good post.

in the short term: (sympathy and empathy)

in the long term:

Being open minded.. is the state and the ability of being able to listen and observe other people trying to find the right in them... not for the sake of judging them.

its the power of being able to understand other people/ cultures to justify to your self why they are doing that where at the same time you are sticking to your principles and concepts with the ability to change if you are very sure that what you are going to do is right.

the difference between Australians and westerners: i dont wana go thru that.. Very Happy

Hmm - can someone be opinionated and open minded? I am certainly opionated, but does that mean I'm not openminded?

I am Western educated, but follow an 'Eastern' religion and hold a Mauritian passport (ok, and a UK one too).

As my wife would say "Men only think they are right, women know they are" and I would not argue with her!.. Smile
