Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager Commercial Integration, the Lead, Supply Market Development will interface with all Project business units and the external supply and contractor communities to identify the opportunities on the Project for suppliers and contractors and facilitate their involvement in the Project.

Specifically, the Lead, Marketplace Management will be responsible for
Identification, attraction and qualification of key Regional and Non Regional Contractors and Suppliers
Ensuring that developed Contractors and Suppliers are afforded an opportunity to compete for work.
Development and implementation of supply strategies to retain and grow the relationships with these contractors and suppliers
Identification of key commodities required for both construction and operations
Gathering, reporting and assessing of information on these key commodities
Providing timely alerts and analysis of issues impacting these supplier, contractors and commodities
Identification of strategies and actions required to mitigate changing market factors
Provision of leadership to the Regional Business Development Coordinator, the Marketplace Management Coordinator, and the Marketplace Management Assistant.

The ideal candidate will have a University degree, a minimum of ten years experience in procurement and be capable of working in a fast paced, multitask environment . Strong written and oral communication skills are essential as are strong computer, analytical and deductive reasoning skills. Knowledge of related contracting, fabricator, equipment or commodity supplier marketplaces is a definite assess asset.
