questions about Brissie's public transport - vix - 05-24-2007

Hi guys and gals,

I'm doing a uni project on Brisbane's public transport, in particular the Busway, and had some questions I wanted to ask those of you who live in Brissie. I need to get a survey done for my project.

Any info would be much appreciated. The questions are as follows:

Your age? (15-24/ 26-40/ 41-60/ 60+)

Where in Brisbane do you live?

Do you study or work? What do you do?

How do you commute daily?

If you do not use public transport, would you consider using it, and the Busway?

How many kms do you travel per day (if you drive)?

You can forward me your answers to Private Message if you like. They're all anonymous, as this is just gathering statistics for a uni project.

Thanks in advance, guys.

I'm retired now; at age 60+ I used to drive to work from Archerfield to Mater Hill daily, sometimes returning for night emergency calls and weekends. say 15 km each way.
I would have used public transport if I could, but they hadn't built the Busway then, and I would have had to walk from the PA Hospital, wait for the little circular bus (OK getting to work, but a long detour getting back), or go into the city and catch a bus back out to Stanley St. It would have taken far too long!

Now, I might use the Busway. But the "go to work" 110 and 115 buses are often crowded when they reach Archerfield, and the "going home" buses fill up in the city before they reach Stanley St.
Now, retired, we use the 110/115 to the city for shops, medical & legal appiontments, etc. flashing our Seniors Cards and getting cheap returns

Hope this helps you.
