Not a full review... just a very high recomendation. This is great work by Woody Allen.

Painful to watch at times in the same way as Closer but with charaters you are more apt to root for.

Definitely worth the time and effort to get to MoE to see it on the one screen playing it in Brisbane.

I saw it. I think I didn't enjoy it very much because the subject matter was painful to watch, as you said. Maybe I like my entertainment to be more uplifting and inspirational :)

The same thing happened with the movie Happiness - It got rave reviews, but I hated it.

I am the opposite... watch something with tragic relationships and everything in my life looks so much cleaner and easier.

kelliy is right though... don't see Match Point if you are hoping for uplifting.
