Becoming a Brisbanite
#1
Hello soon to be fellow Brisbanites!

Yes this is one of those annoying "can you tell me where the best place to live in Brisbane is" little pleas! So to make it a little easier and to refine things instead of just asking for you to list the best places in Brisbane to live, I thought if I told you a bit about myself someone might be able to help me narrow the search for a good place to move to. Well here goes:

I am in my mid to late twenties (okay I'm 27 so you choose), a professional that will be working in the CBD. Ideally I would prefer to be able to walk to work (lets say 30 minute walk maybe 40 at most would be fine). Also like to live close enough so that it is about a $10-15 taxi home at most for those "late nights working". Pretty much a cafee visiting, bar hopping, restaurant critic, who likes to visit museums and watch movies, I'm also a gym and sport addict who works hard just so he can play hard type who would like somewhere nice to live and fritter away my failing twenties in a blaze of memory blanks (sounds like I should give up my day job and take up tutoring in how to write cheesy "looking for love" blogs, trust me I know).

Hope that's not too much information but hey, I'd like to try and get it right first go. I promise not to be too much of a burden on society.

Thanks

West End - you can walk to the city and there are tons of cafes and bars there. It's also right beside all the museums and art galleries in South Bank, and they've just started the West End "city glider" (a constantly running bus line) so transport is easy if you're running late and don't have time to walk to work.
